Course Overview:
 

Two day course for students aged 15-19 who are considering a career a medicine. They are organised and run by NHS Consultants and Specialists and aimed at giving the student a complete insight in the career of Medicine, as well as life as a Doctor. The days are packed with presentations, talks and workshops by Specialists of the specific fields and allow the students to have a fun, hands-on approach. Due to the highly interactive and hands-on nature of this course, the dress code for our delegates is smart-casual.

Course Objectives:

  • To provide impartial careers information to anyone considering medicine as a career. Medicine is a unique career which is both challenging and rewarding. These courses offer exciting days of presentations, workshops and discussion topics.

Prof. Rayaz Malik, BSc (hons)., MSc., MBChB, FRCP, PhD. Rayaz Malik is a Professor of Diabetes and Consultant Physician in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Manchester Royal Infirmary and University of Manchester. He graduated from the University of Aberdeen .
 
Dr. Naveed Ahamd, MRCS, MSc (Dist), DOHNS, BSc (Hons), MBChB, ENT Specialist Registrar. Dr. Naveed Ahmad is a Specialist Registrar in Head and Neck Surrgery. He graduated from Manchester Medical school in 2000.
 
Mr. Bader Mustapha , BA Hons, MSc. Mr. Bader Mustpha is currently a Group Tutor/Lecturer at Manchester College of Higher Education and Media Technology.
 

Dr. Enam Haque, MBChB, MRCGP, PGCertGP. Dr. Enam Haque is a GP Principal at Levenshulme Medical Practice, Manchester. He is also a Clinical Lecturer in Community Based Medicine at the University of Manchester. He graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2000 and obtained MRCGP with merit in 2005.
